What cards do we accept?

You can pay using the following cards:
MasterCard, Visa, Eurocard, Visa Delta, Solo, Switch, JCB

Please note: we cannot accept Electron or Maestro cards

Is my transaction secure?

Your transaction is as secure as any other “secure transaction” that takes place on the web. The secure bit of your order placing is hosted by WorldPay, a large and reputable company with tens of thousands of clients. Look out for the little padlock icon on the taskbar of your browser when it comes to making your payment. On the subject of security, WorldPay state that the process is “fully secure. Our payment system (including the payment pages) is hosted on our servers ... All communications are protected by a host of innovative and established encryption techniques, all of which are continually updated. Transaction environment is regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure complete security.” And add that “Any communication between the shopper and WorldPay is also encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the shopper's browser using TLS or 128 Bit SSL. Shoppers are also protected from fraudulent use of their card in a ‘card not present’ environment, by their card issuers. The card issuers provides the right for shopper to dispute a transaction if the goods/services did not arrive or if the card was used fraudulently.”

When will I receive the goods I ordered?

We have a small team of part-time and volunteer admin staff and dispatchers. Goods are normally dispatched within 7-10 days of an order being placed. All goods (outside of UK postal area) are shipped airmail, but please allow a reasonable period (depending on where in the world your goods are being shipped to). If your goods have not arrived within 21 days of your order being placed please contact us at
admin@peacenews.info.

What happens if something goes wrong?

If something goes wrong, we will endeavour to work with you to find a mutually agreeable solution. We want happy customers who will tell their friends and colleagues about the good experience of purchasing through the PeaceNews online shop.

What if I need a refund?

If you need a refund, perhaps in the unlikely event that goods arrive damaged, we will be happy to offer a full refund. Please return the goods to Peace News, 5 Caledonian Rd, London N19DY, Britain, providing your name, address, the approximate date you placed the order, and how you paid (webshop, cheque, etc).

What happens to the data you collect about me during the transaction?

We only hold your data for the purposes of expediting your order. We will not sell or give away your details to any other party. We will retain only the most minimal information necessary for our accounting and order-tracking purposes.

What happens to the "profit" Peace News Ltd makes from the sale of goods?

Peace News Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. In the rules under which the company is registered, directors are not allowed to pay themselves any profits or dividends. Only workers are entitled to a wage in exchange for their labour. Thus, any surplus accumulated through the sale of goods is ploughed straight back into the company, enabling us to expand our operations and promote nonviolent action and various peace-related campaigns to a wider international community.
